Sydney,22/1/2006

Despite pinching myself I cannot get awake. Sitting on the ferry today, crossing the harbour, passing for the bridge and the Opera House with the sunset and a temperature of 30 degrees, destination: Circular Quay. Is that really me? That little girl sitting on the site of the boat looking around trying to catch everything, is that really me?
Today for the first time since I have arrived here I realized I am in Australia (better late than never ;-)). It happened so naturally and unexpected.
I was there, in George street (the main one) walking and thinking about what to do and to see when I passed by a man playing the guitar with some friends in the street. For a minute I had the feelings of going out of myself to look at me from the outside. And I sow a girl, walking with a camera and a bag, getting red for the sun and asking herself about her life, in Australia. I swear I felt I was flying.
Ok, the first day was not wonderful, it was raining and I was fighting against the time shift, fighting against falling asleep in the centre of the street. I hadn't still spoken with someone and I was feeling alone in this huge city. Than, when I really begun to think I will be spending the 4 months alone loosing the capacity to speak, I came back to the hostel and in my room were two girls of Canberra... (original Australians!!). They invited me to a Spanish club. So, I went out with them until I could no more stay awake and, I am sorry to tell it but, it was the first time I have look a Flamenco dancer... (no comment). I came home happy and tired. Next morning everything was better.
At the end, is not life done of good and bad moments? I begun to understand how it works... in the moment you are loosing your faith, everything change to let you astonished and surprised and to put you in the play again.

I still wait to see what's going to happen to me during this trip...
So, finally everybody knows something about me... I am ok and still discovering Sydney.
You know, I can take care of myself and, in case something goes bad, I think at the words of Simon this night with the philosophers:
"Cuando el juego se hace duro, los duros empiezan de jugar"” (James Bond).
